Nearly all of the hotels entertain their guests every
night but it is quite acceptable for you to join in. The drinks can be
pricey, stick to the local beers and rum. Please do not be afraid of using
the local rum shacks, as the prices there are most agreeable.Use your
common sense when paying bills and don’t flash ALL of your money. The
Copra Tray on a Saturday night is were they have the African Drums
playing, they are great, and the atmosphere is brilliant. The usual start
is 10.00 pm, but check, just in case.

A must is the reef trip try to go with the “A”
Team and Keetie (Mr. Tobago). If you can’t go with him try Sammy’s trip,
any problems see Jerry. The trip costs about £35.00 but it’s a full day
out with all you can eat and drink. First you go to the reef for a
snorkel, then to the Coral Garden. After this it’s a quick relaxing swim
in Nylon Pool, finishing with your barbecue on No Mans Land.

Sunday nights will never be the same again once you’ve
been to Sunday school at Bucco. It starts at 9.00pm. With the steel band
but to be honest we never get there till 11.30pm.There are lots of local
stalls selling various hot and cold foods and one big disco, which takes
over the whole village.Wednesday night is local talent night at The Gold
Star (near the airport). It’s a bit tacky but can be fun if you mix with
the locals, there again, in Tobago you’ll always have a good time if you
mix with the locals!!! |
